Choosing a Vet

Here is some advice for choosing your dog's health care provider. As always, use common sense and your good judgement...

  • Ask your friends who have pets what they think of their veterinarians.
  • Find out if there is 24-hour emergency care available.
  • Find out if the hospital is staffed 24/7 in case of an accident or surgery that requires an overnight stay.
  • If you have an insurance plan, ask if the office accepts it. Also ask if the office accepts credit cards or has a payment plan.
